Rent reporting for Canadians
Turn Your Rent Into Credit Visibility
Your monthly rent is one of your largest expenses. LeaseConfirm helps eligible Canadian tenants make their responsible rent payments visible through rent reporting to Equifax Canada.
Consent-driven reporting. No landlord account required.
The idea
Your rent is already a major financial commitment.
Every month, tenants make one of their largest recurring payments — and in most cases, nothing about it is recorded anywhere that reflects financial responsibility.
LeaseConfirm helps make eligible rent-payment history visible through rent reporting to Equifax Canada.
Each eligible monthly payment is confirmed — automatically or by proof of payment.
Confirmed payments build a continuous record of on-time rent under your account.
That record is reported to Equifax Canada, where it may contribute to your credit profile.
The product

How it works
Three steps between paying rent and reporting it.
Most tenants finish setup in a single sitting. Your landlord never needs an account.
Create your account
Sign up, add your rent details and provide consent for rent reporting.
Choose how you report
Pay rent automatically through LeaseConfirm, or continue paying your landlord directly and upload proof each month.
For automatic reporting, your landlord simply confirms the setup and connects their payout details.
We handle the reporting
Eligible confirmed rent payments are added to your reporting history and reported to Equifax Canada.
Eligible payments will be reported to Equifax Canada from your next rent date.
Why LeaseConfirm
Make your rent work harder for your financial future.
Rent is the payment most Canadians make most reliably, and the one least likely to be recorded. Reporting it changes what your history says about you.
Better housing opportunities
A documented record of on-time rent gives you something concrete to point to when the next landlord asks how you have paid in the past.
Better access to credit
Rent reporting adds payment history where there may otherwise be none — information that may contribute to how lenders read your credit profile.
A visible record of responsible payments
Every confirmed month is logged, dated and traceable in your dashboard — a record you keep whether or not you stay in the same rental.
A stronger financial foundation
Rent you already pay starts supporting the financial picture you are building, instead of disappearing every month.
Who it is for
Built for wherever you are in your journey.
If you rent in Canada and pay on time, your history is worth recording — whether you signed your first lease last month or your tenth a decade ago.
Students
Often paying rent long before any credit history exists. Reporting turns those payments into a record that starts early.
Newcomers to Canada
Arriving with a history that does not follow you. Rent is usually the first large Canadian payment you make — and it can be reported.
Young professionals
Paying significant rent while planning ahead. Reporting adds the payment you are most consistent about to your profile.
Everyday renters
Years of on-time rent with nothing to show for it. Reporting gives that consistency somewhere to be recorded.
Security & consent
Your financial information stays yours.
Nothing is reported without your consent, and nothing leaves your account that you have not confirmed. You decide what gets reported, and you can stop at any time.
Reporting continues only while your consent is active. Pause or withdraw it from your dashboard at any time.

From renters
Built around a simpler renter experience.
What tenants tell us most often is that the process was clear — they knew what step they were on, and what happened next.
I found this surprisingly easy to use. The dashboard was clear, and I always knew what step I was on. It's encouraging to see a Canadian company building solutions that help renters with their overall financial profile.
The platform was simple to use, and I appreciated the clear communication throughout the process. My rent is actually high, so it makes sense that it should count toward building my credit profile. LeaseConfirm fills this gap that I didn't know I had for a long time.
As a newcomer, I have paid my rent on time each month. LeaseConfirm gave me a way to benefit beyond where to live, but also build a foundation for my financial future. The process was straightforward, and it's reassuring to know that my rent can now contribute to my financial profile.
We always paid our rent on time. I was unaware that it could also impact our credit and set us up nicely to gain what is available to those with good credit. Registering, setting up and reporting rent were all done easily.
I can't thank you enough for helping me start reflecting my rent on my credit. I thought it wasn't going to work at first, but I was genuinely amazed.
